A leading organisation in the metals sector is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team at its Milton Keynes site. Reporting to the Head of Account Management, you’ll be responsible for delivering growth, retention, and profitability across a diverse client base.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused, people-driven sales leader with strong knowledge of industrial, technical, or manufacturing environments—particularly where materials and supply chain integration are key.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and develop a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed growth targets
* Set and deliver clear team and individual objectives within a structured performance framework
* Drive a culture of goal achievement, accountability, and customer focus
* Create accurate forecasts and manage resources effectively to deliver on targets
* Champion digitalisation and automation to drive sales efficiencies and customer value
* Embed a “Materials as a Service” approach to optimise commercial outcomes
* Coordinate with internal teams to meet complex contract deliverables
* Maintain strong knowledge of technical product specifications and supply chain dynamics
* Foster collaboration across teams, promoting innovation and idea sharing

* Proven experience managing a sales team within the aerospace, defence, or metals industry
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a track record of success
* A confident, people-first leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop talent
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Data-driven with strong analytical capabilities
* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
* Must be able to commute to Milton Keynes and travel to customer sites as required
