Role:
A rare opportunity as Finance Director has become available in shaping and driving the financial strategy of The Company. This individual will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight, ensuring financial health and operational efficiency while supporting the growth objectives of the organisation.
The Finance Director will lead a full strategic review of finance functions, guide business planning, bring expert commercial insight and have a hands-on leadership role with full oversight of Finance and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership : Work closely with the executive team to shape the financial strategy, aligning it with business objectives and driving the overall financial health of the organisation.
Financial Planning and Analysis : Oversee the preparation of detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial planning. Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
Financial Reporting : Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial reporting to key stakeholders, including the MD, Board of Directors, and external parties (auditors, etc.).
Cash Flow and Risk Management : Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and implement strategies to optimise liquidity. Mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
Cost Control and Profitability : Lead cost management initiatives, ensure operational efficiencies, and implement measures to increase profitability.
Sector Expertise : Gain deep knowledge of the telecoms sector to analyse market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, and provide insights on how these affect financial operations.
Stakeholder Relations : Cultivate relationships with investors, banks, and other external financial stakeholders, ensuring confidence in the companys financial management and sustainability.
Leadership and Team Development : Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, ensuring strong performance, development opportunities, and alignment with company goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience : At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally some experience in the telecommunications, technology and sales sector.
Education : A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is essential. A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Is preferred.
Financial Expertise : Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, financial forecasting, financial modelling, and cash flow management.
Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team while working cross-functionally with other departments.
Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Strategic Vision : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to guide business decisions through financial insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Excel & Financial Software : Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced skills in Excel and experience using Sage 200.
Power Bi Expertise: Proficiency and knowledge with Power Bi.
