To perform equipment electrical integration, and to facilitate RF performance testing of satellite payloads and instruments manually and using Automated Test Equipment. Must be prepared to travel to other UK and European sites at 48 hours notice. Shift work may include nights and weekends. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will initially work in Portsmouth. Essential: Automated test experience/RF measurement techniques in high reliability manufacturing / test area related to communication equipment Desirable: Space/Aerospace experience Previous Experience Essential: RF communication engineering and measurement techniques, working to test procedures. Desirable: knowledge of current software applied to measurement systems is desirable, knowledge of automatic test systems and result processing Portsmouth working may initially be normal days Monday to Friday for a period of familiarisation however, there is an expectation that the programme will require shift work which is expected to be 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on and 4 nights off. Day shifts will run from 06:00 to 18:00 or 07:00 to 19:00 and nights shifts will run from 18:00 to 06:00 or 19:00 to 07:00. A shift uplift of 20% will be paid for shift hours worked between 06:00 and 22:00 and 33% for shift hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Each shift includes a 1 hrs break and for the avoidance of doubt this break is unpaid. Later in the summer it is expected that the shift pattern will move to early 06:00 to 14:00 and late shift 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday. Both shifts will attract an uplift of 20%.
