Welding Inspector – Somerset £45 per hour (on payroll) 40hr week excellent overtime rates (after 40hrs p/w) 12month contract (rolling) Welding Inspector responsibilities include: Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction. Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical / electrical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations. Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers. Welding Inspector profile: An experienced Welding Engineer / Inspector, ideally min 10yrs background as a Welding Engineer & 5yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control) C&G Cert / or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in engineering discipline. Must have CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Must have Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing PCN (PAUT ticket) Sound understanding in Materials, Welding and NDE techniques. Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries. Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
