Midlothian and Scottish Borders Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Services
We are offering a management opportunity for a Senior Services Manager to lead and develop our team delivering community mental health and wellbeing services within Midlothian and the Scottish Borders.
This opportunity requires excellent leadership and management skills, where the successful candidate will be required to manage a team of staff, establish new services, and build networks with our partners across mental health services in Midlothian and the Scottish Borders.
You will be key to maintaining quality within service delivery. You should have experience of leading, managing, and developing services, supporting and enabling teams, and of working with people with mental health problems. You should also have experience of developing systems and processes and be able to share your learning experiences across teams.

About the Position
Our Policy and Public Affairs Officer connects with and influences politicians and senior decision makers to make society better for people who have mental health challenges, have mental illness, and their families. They shall manage projects that shall lead to improvements in support for those with poor mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Director of Public Affairs and Communications to develop and implement a policy and influencing strategy.
2. Manage projects related to mental health and provide reports.
3. Build powerful relationships with politicians, civil servants, and partners.
4. Represent the organisation at a range of different stakeholder events.
5. Respond on behalf of the organisation to consultations and events.

Quality and Improvement Manager
As our Quality and Improvement Manager, you will support our services to gather the data and evidence they need to understand both areas of strength and of challenges, and to create development plans based on this evidence. A key focus will be leading and managing our Quality Assurance Framework. Other key responsibilities include the oversight of our operational policies and acting as Penumbra’s Data Protection Officer.
