Role Overview As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Sonovate's exponential growth in the Enterprise market. This position involves the acquisition of new UK-based invoice finance customers, significantly impacting Sonovate's revenue and balance sheet position. You will be instrumental in driving business growth through strategic customer acquisition, leveraging your expertise in complex finance products, and building strong relationships with Enterprise owners and directors. Key responsibilities include developing and converting new customers, maintaining accurate CRM records, and achieving quarterly targets. The role demands a deep understanding of market trends and product offerings, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of high performance, strong numerical reasoning skills, and the ability to navigate extended sales cycles and multi-level negotiations. Key Skills & Responsibilities: Develop and acquire new UK-based customers with turnovers ranging from £1m to £150m, focusing on businesses needing funding or invoice finance facilities from £500k upwards Demonstrate a proven track record of high performance in customer acquisition, validated through reputable metrics. Possess strong relationship-building skills to engage and convert potential clients. Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation abilities to effectively pitch and close deals with Enterprise owners and directors. Show resilience and adaptability in navigating extended sales cycles and multi-level negotiations. Possess in-depth knowledge of finance and commercial funding products, with the ability to articulate their value to potential clients. Display confidence and expertise in building and presenting credit proposals. Exhibit strong presentation and persuasion skills to effectively communicate with senior executives and decision-makers. Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in managing CRM data, ensuring all customer interactions and sales activities are accurately recorded. Exhibit strong analytical skills to generate and interpret reports, providing insights into sales performance and identifying areas for improvement. Show proficiency in using CRM tools to streamline sales processes and enhance customer relationship management. Exhibit strong goal-setting and time management skills to achieve quarterly targets.
