Main duties of the job On a typical day as a Porter you can expect to transport patients around the site, move equipment and furniture between wards, collect and deliver essential supplies and samples, undertake Postal Service/messenger duties, collect and dispose of waste and respond to any emergency situations that may arise. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to adhere to departmental standards and health and safety regulations. You will also act at all times in a manner that upholds the Trust's values, working as part of a team to ensure efficiency and excellent customer care. As a full-time member of staff you will work up to 37.5 hours a week on a rota shift pattern that includes nights. You will receive pay enhancements for unsociable hours.
