To take full operational responsibility for a growing sales and marketing team, to provide leadership, direction and support to create an environment capable of delivering future growth, steering and delivering strategic marketing and business development plans with pace, professionalism and creativity.
Our clients include major organisations and so you will also need to display the gravitas and high professional standards necessary to build relationships across our key client sectors, as one of the company’s senior brand ambassadors. Working collaboratively across all of the business functions, you will be capable of understanding the critical details of a broad portfolio of product and services. You will also need to be comfortable engaging with clients to understand their rapidly changing needs, sometimes within the backdrop of a complex regulatory framework; all this so you own the commercial thought leadership process, then utilise your extensive advocacy skills, and experience of managing business to business services, to help the Commercial Team to maintain and expand our client portfolio, whilst managing a wide range of varying operational activities to meet challenging deadlines.
Main Responsibilities
* To oversee the day-to-day management of the Commercial function, building the team’s effectiveness and capabilities through positive management, direct coaching and forward planning.
* To increase client numbers, average client spend and trading profit, through the introduction of new business, product portfolio development or increased revenue from existing contracts.
* To understand in depth the Charis product and service portfolio and identify opportunities for growth, diversification and new service offerings.
* Continually review Charis services in light of market and regulatory changes and client feedback, working collaboratively and positively with all business functions.
* To maintain an awareness of the key industry sectors our clients occupy, including regulatory and compliance requirements, new market trends and competitors.
* To build mutually beneficial relationships through networking opportunities which can improve the Charis profile, and build on its reputation in all relevant business sectors.
* To be responsible for the quality and content of client communications, adopting a consistent tone of voice.
Person Specification

You will need to demonstrate an outstanding record of leading business transformation and the capability of driving and delivering income growth through direct reports or by managing multi-functional teams.
