We're looking for a Primary Care Development Manager to join our team.
This is a newly established role within the Primary and Community Care Academy, working across north Wales to provide support for and lead on specific areas of work, including Primary Care Recruitment, Service Model Design and Development and contribute to the delivery of other work streams and projects focusing on the sustainability of Primary and Community Services.
You will be leading on the development and implementation of a range of projects in relation to the delivery of the priorities of the Strategic Programme for Primary Care, working collaboratively with the Integrated Health Community leads for Primary Care and community care, across all four-contractor services.

Main duties of the job
* Lead on the implementation of the Strategic Programme for Primary Care (SPPC) projects.
* Lead on the development and delivery of the Action Plan to implement the SPPC projects.
* Manage specific service development project / work streams taking appropriate action e.g. manage issues, risks and deviations to plan to ensure that projects / work streams are delivered to schedule.
* Research 'new' models of care and 'Best Practice' sites, promoting and supporting clinical teams and support services around whole system thinking and service improvement change.
* Work with Operational and Clinical leads on projects to deliver their service improvement plans as appropriate.
* Support the on-going knowledge and development of the primary care team by developing and identifying training and development opportunities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Educated to degree level / equivalent level of work experience and knowledge plus further knowledge to post graduate diploma level or equivalent demonstrable knowledge.
Experience
* Primary Care Experience.
* Participation in change management projects and process re-engineering.
* Experience of budget control, contract negotiation, procurement and financial procedures.
* Experience of managing social media presence and development of online tools e.g. websites.
* Experience of managing successful change across professional boundaries.
* Proven ability to successfully manage projects.
* Experience of working within a project structure, and managing change.
* Experience of contract negotiation, procurement and financial procedures.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Ability to work on own initiative and organise / prioritise own & team workload.
* Proven ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with staff at all levels.
* Spoken or written Welsh language.
