We are seeking an experienced Line Marker to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and preparation of sports fields and pitches for our 300+ customer base. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in sports field marking, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering the highest quality playing surfaces.
Skills and Requirements:
Pitch Marking
1. Utilising advanced marking techniques and equipment to mark a wide range of sports fields accurately and neatly, including but not limited to football, rugby, and athletics tracks.
2. Ensure all field markings comply with regulatory standards and guidelines.
3. Maintain proper field dimensions for markings for each specific sport and age group.
Field Maintenance
1. Inspect field surfaces to ensure they are safe, level, and free from hazards.
2. Report any damage or imperfections in the field surface, including divots, turf damage, and irrigation issues to the Management Team.
Equipment Operation
1. Operate and maintain field marking equipment, including line stripers, sprayers, and stencils.
2. Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Materials Management
1. Manage inventory of field marking paints, stencils, and other materials.
Safety and Compliance
1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties at all times.
2. Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations.
Team Collaboration
1. Collaborate with grounds maintenance teams to schedule and coordinate field maintenance activities.
2. Communicate effectively and professionally with customer stakeholders to understand specific field marking requirements.
Documentation
1. Maintain accurate records of field marking activities, including dates, materials used, and field conditions using Fairways’ digital processes.
Requirements – Personal:
1. Must hold a full UK driving licence.
2. Must be able to undertake a full DBS check due to the working environment (cost to be met by employer).
3. Willing to undertake any relevant training necessary to ensure duties are carried out effectively.
This job would entail a large amount of walking and would suit a fit and active person.
Experience with robotic line markers is preferable but not essential.

Hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday; however, these may be subject to change to fulfill contractual obligations, and additional hours may be required to suit the position and business needs.
