The role
As Baseband Security Engineer you will design and implement security & networking solutions through to supporting handover to operational support, considering multi-supplier/multi-platform environments across the estate. You will be key in supporting the delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies as part of a broader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture.
You’ll also be responsible for:
• Design and implement security & networking solutions through to supporting handover to operational support, considering multi-supplier/multi-platform environments across the estate.
• Support the delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies as part of a broader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture
• Interpret and apply appropriate standards, policies and legislation whilst working with Information Assurance (IA) leads from the programme.
• Apply the principles of secure network, applications, gateways & interfaces across the estate.
• Evaluate new technologies and deliver cost benefit analysis to support business use cases
• Produce, peer-review and maintain high-level, low-level technical documentation and network schematics.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday 40 hours per week and is based at Hawthorn but must be willing to travel regularly to other sites.
Essential experience of the Baseband Security Engineer:
1. Experience in implementing and supporting Cisco network and security technologies in enterprise environments
2. A valid CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification
3. Experience in design and implementation of Cisco ASA & Firepower (Inc. DMVPN, VPN, AMP & IPS) – SSE & ISE
4. Experience in design and implementation of Cisco Catalyst Core, Catalyst Manager - Distribution & LAN Access Switching, WAN (SDA – SD-WAN Fabric deployment experience essential).
5. A strong understanding of Cisco ASR/ISR Routing
Qualifications for the Baseband Security Engineer:
6. CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification
7. HNC (Level 4) or equivalent in a STEM subject
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain DV security clearance for this role.
