Job Title: Field Service Engineer Location: Field-based, covering Southwest, M4 corridor and Wales Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (Negotiable) Industry: Life Science / Medical Equipment / Laboratory Equipment Role Overview: The client are seeking for a dedicated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our range of decontamination equipment at client sites across Southwest fo England, M4 corridor and Wales. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission washer disinfectors, bedpan washers, and drying cabinets at various client locations, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and performance checks to prevent equipment malfunctions and extend the lifespan of the machines. Reactive Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose and repair equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation for clients. Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to clients, ensuring they are proficient in operating and maintaining the equipment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and customer communications. Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.Qualifications and Experience: Technical Background: A B.T.E.C. National Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent qualification. Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Service Engineer, preferably within the infection control or life sciences sectors. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting installation, electrical, and system drawings. Certifications: Current STM2, STM3, WTM1, and WTM2 certifications are highly desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Team Collaboration: Experience working both independently and as part of a team, with a track record of collaborating effectively with other engineers and contractors.Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively across Southwest England, M4 corridor and Wales, with occasional international assignments as and when needed. A valid UK driving license.
