Due to an increase in pupil numbers, Melton Primary School are looking to appoint a positive, adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting the development of children to work 1 to 1, or in small groups, with children across our school. This role is suited to current Learning Support Assistants, HLTAs, Early Years Practitioners, qualified teachers taking a career break or someone who has a genuine love of children and would like to begin a career in education (training is provided).
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* have excellent communication skills and use these to build strong relationships with children
* be able to use your own initiative as well as to work as part of a team
* have strong inter-personal skills including the ability to use judgement and common sense
* support children in fulfilling their academic potential but recognise that school is about much more than that
* value the professional relationships you build with children
* have a calm and patient approach
* enjoy learning and be able to share your enthusiasm with children
* value our children in their richness and diversity.
