In this role, you will work closely with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to craft user-centered designs that resonate with our audience. As the Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design vision for our products, ensuring that user experience remains at the forefront of our strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept in leading design projects and collaborating across departments to develop innovative solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. Your creativity and leadership will help shape the future direction of our product offering.
Role Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Strategy
1. Define and drive the end-to-end design process, ensuring a seamless user experience across all digital touchpoints.
2. Develop and maintain a design system, ensuring brand consistency and scalability across all products.
3. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align design initiatives with business objectives and user needs.
User Experience & Research
1. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making to enhance product experience.
2. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketers to translate customer and operational system workflows into simple, intuitive experiences.
3. Utilize customer insights and market trends to create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes that inform design decisions.
Visual & Interaction Design
1. Lead the creation of high-fidelity prototypes, UI components, and interaction designs to bring product concepts to life.
2. Ensure a high standard of visual aesthetics and usability across all digital platforms.
3. Experiment with new design trends and technologies to enhance product innovation.
Minimum Requirements
1. 8+ years of experience in product and interaction design
2. Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and best practices
3. Exceptional skills in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
4. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
5. Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design strategies
6. Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
7. Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing priorities
8. Experience in leading design projects and mentoring junior designers
Desirable qualifications include having worked within the FinTech industry or on SaaS platforms.
