Learning Support Assistant required for a nurturing and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school dedicated to supporting children and young people with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and other developmental challenges. The Role: We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with individualised learning, social development, and engagement in daily school activities. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, creative, and motivated to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, both 1:1 and in small group settings. Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities adapted to individual needs. Support pupils in developing their social and communication skills, both in and outside the classroom. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective pupil progress. Assist with personal care (if required) and manage behaviour positively and sensitively. Foster a caring, safe, and inclusive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to remain calm and adapt to challenges.
