We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering operations at the legendary Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent.
This incredible opportunity involves managing multiple outlets, including two permanent restaurants, whilst providing catering for raceday hospitality, conferences, Christmas parties and a range of other events.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the catering industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high quality food and customer experiences.
With a history spanning close to a century, Brands Hatch is a world-class venue renowned for its outstanding catering and hospitality. It's currently home to some of Europe's largest and most prestigious race meetings, including GT World Challenge, British Superbikes, British Touring Cars and EuroNASCAR.
One of the busiest sporting venues in the UK, the circuit also hosts a range of midweek activities, including trackdays, race car testing, driving experiences and corporate driving days.
Responsibilities of the Catering Manager:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of all catering outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
2. Manage and coordinate catering services for a variety of events, including raceday hospitality, corporate functions, and conferences.
3. Liaise with the appointed mobile catering provider to ensure an appropriate number and variety of units are present at major promoted race meetings.
4. Manage staff schedules to agreed budgets, ensuring adequate levels to meet business needs.
5. Provide all guests with a consistently high standard of food quality and customer service, working closely with the Head Chef.
6. Monitor and control food and beverage costs, working with the Head Chef to minimise waste and maximise profit without compromising quality.
7. Procure high quality food at the best possible value by identifying and using suppliers.
8. Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
9. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
10. Manage floats, cashing up, and reconciliation.
11. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
12. Recruit, train and develop staff to deliver outstanding service.
13. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
14. Foster a culture of exceptional customer care, ensuring that all guests receive a first-class experience.
15. Ensure all catering equipment is in working order and coordinate with service suppliers for any repairs.
16. Develop menus for catering and hospitality activities alongside the Head Chef and other company departments, where appropriate.
