Job summary The States of Guernsey are looking to recruit to the Head of the Children's Dental Service /Clinical Lead Children's Dental Service. The Clinical Lead will be the strategic lead for the Childrens Dental Service, positively progressing the clinical team and their related objectives, and overseeing their implementation. The appointee will be responsible for overseeing the management of the Childrens Dental Service (CDS), working closely with the Practice manager. As Clinical Lead for Paedodontics they will have a predominantly clinical role. The post holder will need to advocate an appropriate intervention and preventative-focused service. The new Clinical Lead will need to work to a high ethical standard and align with HSC and GDC code of conduct. The appointee will have overall responsibility for the Oral Health team, working closely with the lead Dentist for this service. The appointee will also oversee the provision of dental care for the child population of Alderney. The post holder will report to the Associate Director, Maternity and Paediatrics. The post holder will be expected to work closely with General Dental Practitioners, HSC Senior Management Teams, Senior Clinicians employed by HSC and The Medical Special Group as well as Medical Practitioners, Dental Care Professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams including colleagues working in Allied Health Professions and in Education.
