Your new role The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for leading the electronics activities of the small Systems Team, who are responsible for creating, maintaining and managing a very large range of survey equipment and systems used by the survey teams. The role involves overseeing the delivery of electrical and electronic engineering for various sensing and data capture systems, both existing and new. Responsibilities include generating innovative design concepts, translating them into formal requirements, and making cost-effective 'build or buy' decisions. The role also entails designing, developing, testing, and supporting in-house equipment, collaborating with suppliers for outsourced designs, and ensuring purchased equipment is fit for purpose. Additionally, the position requires producing technical documentation, facilitating design reviews, contributing to company standards, and occasionally supporting overseas equipment installations.
