SENIOR ELECTRCIAL ENGINEER Our client stands as a preeminent force in the realm of independent defence technology solutions. They specialise in delivering supreme engineering expertise, advanced technology systems and comprehensive support services The purpose of this job is to be a key part of the engineering team, located at their Worcestershire site, and working on project delivery, service provision and product development. The job encompasses bidding for, designing, implementing, testing, acceptance and after-sales support of technical solutions for the international Defence, Training & Simulation, and Ballistic Protection market sectors. This job is focussed on the electrical aspects of the projects but will work within the context of a multi-disciplinary and multi-site engineering team delivering complete solutions to the customer.” KEY RESPONSIBILITES · To advance the goals of the company by producing innovative, exciting, and rigorous designs, and translate the designs into concise and clear workshop and supplier drawings with consideration of the manufacturing process · To provide technical expertise to the tender process including the preparation of specifications, costing and plans based on the customer requirements and expectations · To lead technical liaison with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure that the customer's requirements are met · To conduct feasibility studies and engineering assessments, approve designs and drawings against specified requirements, provide technical support to the operations department GENERAL · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to be flexible and work outside core hours on occasion. · Travel to other group sites and occasional overseas travel may be required. · Must be able to work in the UK without restrictions & meet UK government security vetting criteria. Passionate about Engineering and driven to produce elegant, simple and robust designs based on a strong analytical approach · Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate and work with people at all levels · Ability to lead and motivate team members · Enthusiastic about technology; creative and innovative · Self-confident and assertive · Sound judgment and decision-making ability · Ability to organize and prioritise a number of projects simultaneously · The job holder will require a valid driving licence. KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering · Confident application of electrical engineering fundamentals · Produce block diagrams and electrical schematics · Qualified and competent in testing and inspection to City & Guilds 2391-52 · Experience of integrating electrical, and electrical systems · Skilled in preparing technical reports and presentations for customers · Experience of working within an ISO 9001 Organisation Forward Assist Recruitment is operating as an employment agency.
