Project Controller – Bolton Copello is excited to partner with a leading defence client experiencing significant growth in their Project Control function. Location: Bolton (Hybrid – 2-3 days per week on-site) Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British Citizenship Your Role: As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include: Project Health – Assessing project performance, identifying risks, and providing solutions. Schedule Assessment – Ensuring project schedules are accurate, coherent, and aligned with planning principles. Integrated Baseline Management – Driving the creation of an Integrated Baseline Schedule to support successful project delivery. Cost Control & EAC – Validating project costs and forecasts to maintain financial accuracy. Risk & Opportunity Management – Leading Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and identifying mitigation strategies. New Business Support – Playing an active role in bid teams to ensure strong project management fundamentals are in place. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in project planning – from detailed scheduling to milestone delivery. Manufacturing experience within the defence or complex engineering sector. Strong knowledge of project structures (WBS/CBS/OBS) and project performance analysis. Ability to conduct Critical Path Analysis, SRA, and Earned Value Management (EVM). Experience with SAP, ARM, Primavera, Oracle Unifier, or similar tools. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong influencing skills. Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential): Experience in EAC/Forecast Cost at Completion reviews. Knowledge of Risk & Opportunity / What-If analysis. Understanding of resource-loaded schedules.
