About the Role
Stirling Council’s Waste Services team is looking for a proactive and innovative Service Development Officer to drive improvements in waste management operations. Reporting to the Waste Collections Team Leader, you will play a key role in developing digital solutions, optimising service processes, and implementing strategic improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage service development projects, improving efficiency and customer experience.
2. Analyse and optimise waste collection routes using digital tools.
3. Develop and implement digital transformation initiatives within Waste Services.
4. Provide training and support to operational staff on new systems and processes.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
About You
1. HND/SVQ qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Experience in waste management or environmental services, ideally within a local authority.
3. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
5. Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office and GIS-based software.
6. A valid UK driving licence.
