We are looking for an ACS qualified Installation Surveying Engineer to join our NEST team covering the South Wales and Mid Wales regions. Please note, this is a 9 month fixed term opportunity. £44,893 pro rata Fixed term, Full-time, 40 hours per week Location: Field based in the South Wales and Mid Wales regions Company Benefits About the role: As an Installation Surveying Engineer you will be working to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, safety and customer satisfaction, to deliver to business and personal KPIs to increase the profitability of the Nest scheme. Take first line responsibility for the safe, efficient, and effective work delivery and customer satisfaction on the Nest Fuel Poverty Scheme To undertake retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035, the specification for the energy retrofit of domestic buildings. Provide technical support, coaching and advice to customers about improving their energy efficiency plus measures. Complete a technical home audit EPR (Energy Performance Report) or EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) on customers properties and design a heating system to meet both customer and business requirements. To complete technical post inspections, sign off installation work completed on Nest. Complete heating surveys and final inspection sign off visits always ensuring that all works have been completed to the customers’ satisfaction and in line with the contract specification. To provide enhanced retrofit advice to support a householder’s journey to a low carbon home. Complete technical assessments maintaining safe work delivery for your region and provide information updates as required. Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, resolving low-level field related customer complaints and problematic jobs to improve the reputation of the Company. Take proactive action to identify and address the cause for complaint. Here’s what we’re looking for: We are looking for someone with an understanding of the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to the work and ensure the teams comply with these. Help the teams understand and actively promote issues regarding health, safety & the environment. Valid ACS (essential) Experience of surveying properties or installing heating systems or similar (essential) Energy Awareness 6281-01 (desirable) Renewable Awareness 6281-02 (desirable) Level 3 GDA/ DEA qualification (desirable) Retrofit Assessor qualification (desirable) Oftec qualification (desirable) Part P / 17th edition (desirable) Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective customer relationships Positive approach to change and willing to learn new skills and develop the role as required. Ability to work to challenging targets and timescales. Confidence and creditability with the ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to effectively communicate information and knowledge assertively, whilst demonstrating empathy with customers and colleagues. Coaching skills.
