This role is a unique opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of technology startups and financial services and build a well-rounded skill set alongside a team of experienced business leaders.
We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, grow and make an impact. You will work collaboratively with internal and external teams including Risk & Data Analytics, Credit & Fraud Underwriting, Product, and Tech and Data Science to optimise the risk trade-offs of our various B2B partnerships. In this role you will;
* Collaborate with our Tech and Business Intelligence teams to create and improve ways to monitor portfolio risk
* Run end-to-end portfolio risk management; detect trends early, analyse the root cause of non-payment or fraud, propose and implement solutions
* Identify predictive variables that can be used in underwriting rules to optimise our risk decisions
* Continuously monitor and optimise our underwriting and pricing decisions at partnership and portfolio levels
* Work with our Sales and Ops team on risk assessing and pricing new deals to support negotiation strategies
* Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure understanding of risk performance metrics and successful Merchant launches

In light of these responsibilities, we're looking for a candidate who has:
* A degree in STEM or other numerical subjects
* ~3 years experience in managing risk underwriting and pricing analysis
* Proven analytical skills using SQL, Google Sheets or Excel for data extraction, manipulation and visualisation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
* Comfortable in a fast-paced and tech-driven startup environment where change is constant
* A strong work ethic with keen attention to detail
* A commercial mindset, curious, creative and can take initiative
Nice to have:
* Coding experience in Python
* Experience working with data visualisation tools
* Prior work experience within payments, finance or banking
* An additional European language
