We are looking for a Band 7 Cognitive Analytic Therapist (0.8 wte / 4 days) who is ACAT accredited to work alongside other members of a large,
well established secondary care Psychological Therapies team.
This post holder will provide CAT assessment and treatment to people with complex presentations where there is co-morbidity, treatment
resistance or associated personality and interpersonal difficulties. The post holder also provide consultation to non-psychology colleagues within the community mental health teams.
CIPTS provides assessments, consultation and psychological therapy for adults with complex mental health difficulties across the Borough of
Croydon. CIPTS comprises a dedicated and well-established team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychotherapists in CAT and
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. The service is committed to implementing NICE Guidelines and ensuring evidence-based practice but there is
also an appreciation of the value of a range of psychotherapeutic models with a complex client group.
To work as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the services policies and procedures.
To deliver the systematic provision of a specialist CAT service to services users referred to the service, providing CAT assessment, treatment and consultation.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development.
To offer specialist CAT advice and consultation to other mental health professionals.
To undertake and maintain specialist continuing professional development relevant to the CAT role.
