If so, we want to hear from you We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team within the Training Department at Shorterm Group. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the learning journey of adult learners and apprentices by offering tailored support and inclusive learning experiences. About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them develop strategies to succeed in their studies. This will include one-to-one and group sessions, delivered both remotely and in person. You will also be involved in the delivery of Functional Skills in English and Maths (up to Level 2). Your role will span across various key areas including learner support, training delivery, quality assurance, compliance, and collaboration with internal departments and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised learning support for individuals with ALN. Deliver Functional Skills (English and Maths) sessions to small groups. Contribute to the development of inclusive training materials and learning plans. Monitor, review, and report on learner progress and outcomes. Support the wider training team by promoting best practice in SEN awareness and inclusive teaching. Ensure compliance with awarding body regulations and apprenticeship funding requirements. Engage with new customers and provide expert Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) on ALN support. Maintain accurate learner records, progress reviews, and government ALN funding data. Participate in governance, safeguarding, and health & safety activities. Skills & Experience Required: Experience supporting individuals in an educational or training environment. Background in working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Experience delivering English and Maths Functional Skills (up to Level 2). Knowledge of working with adult learners and apprenticeship programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in maintaining accurate records and working with digital tools.
