Exciting Opportunity for an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor in the South West of Ireland Copius Group is thrilled to announce an open position for an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor in the South West of Ireland. As an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the project delivery process. Working closely with the Surveying Manager and Contracts Manager, you will manage all commercial aspects of the project alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects. Key Responsibilities: Validate tenders following project awards with the Project Manager/Director. Prepare and regularly update the CCS for the project(s) in consultation with the Project Manager/Director. Analyse billing and cost timing to prepare cash flow. Compile monthly reports according to Group standard procedures. Conduct monthly site measures and prepare interim valuations, including all values related to labour, materials, plant, equipment, and escalation. Monitor site progress to ensure timely submission and agreement of claims for recovery of loss and expense with the client. Highlight target shortfalls to the Commercial Manager. Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings. Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence. Control client invoicing through submission and tracking. Liaise with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials. Resolve client/subcontractor disputes. Monitor site procurement with regular reports. Assist in training and developing less-experienced quantity surveyors. Review contract specifications and scopes with stakeholders to identify and manage project risks in collaboration with the Project Manager. This role offers exposure to a variety of sectors, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centres, construction, and more. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills, progressing towards achieving Chartered Status. Skills and Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related field. Trade background is advantageous. Experience in the construction or pharmaceutical industry is beneficial, showcasing your understanding of industry best practices and technologies. 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in an electrical contracting environment. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and external partners. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Proficiency in MS Office systems. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
