Your new company
I am working exclusively with a membership organisation, and we are looking for a Programme Coordinator with subject matter expertise in Policy and Public Affairs. You will be working with the Senior Manager to assist in increasing the organisation's policy influence as well as lead on programmes of work, organise workshops, events and projects. You will also be developing briefings ahead of crucial meetings with MPs.
Your new role
The successful candidate will:
* Lead and deliver multiple projects across various work streams within the Policy and Science team. This will include setting up project plans, meetings, minute taking, drafting agendas, event management and day to day financial tracking.
* Report on project delivery milestones, risk management and keeping project documents up to date.
* Build strong relationships internally and externally (key stakeholders: MPs, policymakers, scientists, civil servants, parliamentarians and research fellows).
* Assist in the research and writing of quarterly newsletters, organising MP visits, sending out invites and catering.
What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who:
* Is educated to degree level or equivalent
* Has experience in project management and policymaking
* Can excellently communicate, both verbally and written, to senior stakeholders, internally and externally
* Can convey complex and sensitive information
* Has a strong understanding of policy and Public Affairs
What you'll get in return
This position is available on a 3-month temp basis while the organisation recruits for this post on a permanent basis. You will be paid £22.88/hour PAYE Premium and work in amazing offices on a hybrid basis. This role will close fast, so get your application in early to avoid disappointment.
