The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Chichester. This is a locum position with an immediate start, running until 26 January 2025
Key Responsibilities:
You will support the Oncology Pharmacy service. You will utilize the Aria electronic prescribing system. You will provide expert clinical knowledge to a wide variety of healthcare professionals. You will deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to oncology and haematology patients, including outpatients, day-case patients, and inpatients. You will support the provision and management of high-cost drugs to Trust patients. You will assist in the setup and delivery of oncology clinical trials. You will ensure the safe and effective use of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) and other oncology medications. You will contribute to the development and monitoring of medicines optimization and management activities. You will provide professional leadership and support to the oncology pharmacy team.
Requirements:
* Education and Qualifications:
o GPhC Registered.
o 1 year pre-registration training.
o Master's degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
o Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential.
o Support the Oncology Pharmacy service.
o Utilize the Aria electronic prescribing system.
o Provide expert clinical knowledge to a wide variety of healthcare professionals.
* Skills and Knowledge:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
o Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
