Electronic Engineer
Location: Rochester (Kent)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
We are currently looking for an Electronic Engineer to work for a global leader within the Power and energy sector.
This role will involve key skills in designing robust network systems, overseeing dynamic operational monitoring, refining power quality standards, and evaluating generator performance for peak efficiency.
Experience
* Hands-on experience with network systems (switches, VLANs) and hardware interfacing (RS232/485).
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
* Familiarity with protocols like IEC104, Modbus, or DLMS (a plus).
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with customers and teams.
* Basic cybersecurity knowledge (advantageous).
Key Accountabilities and objectives
* As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll support product design, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure seamless project delivery.
* Train internal teams and customers on hardware/software solutions.
* Resolve network, protocol, and data issues (e.g., VLANs, RS232/485, Modbus).
* Create and maintain technical guides and training materials.
* Set up hardware/software in workshops and occasionally on-site (UK driving license required).
* Testing & Compliance: Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and ensure systems meet specifications.
