We are seeking a Fire and Security Engineer apprentice who will learn alongside experienced engineers to help them grow and succeed in the security sector. The apprentice will be learning on the job and will receive support from the beginning. This position will be full-time with block training release to Walsall. The apprentices will work across both Security and Fire, ultimately growing to become a multi-disciplined engineer.
Entry requirements
1. Willing to work away for projects
2. Grade 4 Maths and English
3. 18+ preferred – but flexible
4. Driving License required if you do not live in Stoke
Training to be provided
Initially, the apprentice will work alongside experienced engineers, learning and developing in the fields of both fire and security.
The qualification you would be studying towards is the Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Watford Centre. You will attend the centre one week every eight weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
Things to consider
This is a 36-month apprenticeship; full commitment is needed during this time.

Future prospects
Upon successful completion, you will be offered a full-time position as a qualified engineer.
Hours per week: 40
Working week: 8.30am to 5pm
