We’re investing in our Data capabilities and have 2 newly created opportunities for experienced Data Project Managers to join our Data Delivery Team. As a project manager within our Chief Data Office, you will play a pivotal role in leading one or several of our many data projects within CDO and across the wider business.
This position will require everything from initial project setup, estimation, funding, through to delivery and close of the project. It requires top level stakeholder management and communications, project governance as well as detailed project management using appropriate delivery methodologies for the use case.
What will your day look like?
1. Work in close collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure appropriate definition of project goals, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
2. Day-to-day coordination on progress, prioritization and problem solving with the external Data implementation team.
3. Oversee and control the delivery of project activity across various parties. Support prioritization of the requirements catalogue/user story backlog.
4. Support alignment meetings e.g. stand-ups, SteerCo, Working Groups etc. and coordinate interactions across various teams.
5. Create detailed project plans and sprint backlogs and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs or requirements.
6. Identify resources and assign responsibilities to deliver required project outcomes. Manage 3rd party Vendors (where applicable).
7. Identify, assess, escalate and appropriately mitigate risk to project delivery.
What do we expect from you?
1. Significant proven experience in successful delivery of complex data related projects end to end.
2. Tech-savvy and good understanding of Data management practices.
3. Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) to work with intricate, multifaceted projects.
4. Experience with kanban tooling – JIRA, Trello etc.
5. Excellent leadership, communication and coordination skills.
6. A customer-oriented attitude along with excellent collaboration skills.
