We can accommodate up to 6 children for day surgery and work alongside the Paediatric Assessment Unit. Outpatient clinics also run Monday to Friday from the ground floor of the unit. As part of this role you will be expected to rotate to Peterborough City Hospital Children Wards when there is a clinical need and to offer opportunities to expand on skills and knowledge. We are a busy department in what can be a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will need to be a good communicator, be innovative and self-motivated. They should be committed to the provision of high standards of patient care for our children and families. Ensure that patient care remains a priority in inter-professional practice and that referrals to the MDT are timely and discharge planning takes place where appropriate. Be aware of the safeguarding agenda, ensuring protection and identification of vulnerable patients. Ensure effective working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues across the Trust. We are looking for a flexible individual to workfull time or part time hours. Our current shift pattern is 11.5 hour shifts on internal rotation to cover evenings and weekends.
