Our client, a well-established Civil and Structural Design Practice, is actively seeking a Chartered, Director-level candidate who has the drive and determination to assist the Managing Director to push the business forward. The successful candidate will enhance an already strong and vibrant leadership team. If you are an enthusiastic, career-motivated team player, we would like to hear from you.
Our client has a strong business and is proud of their achievements to date. The future is looking exciting, and the current project workload will see the chosen Director of Structures working across a variety of interesting sectors such as residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use building structures developments.
In return for your hard work, our client is offering an excellent remuneration package including:
1. Private healthcare paid for by the business, including for your immediate family
2. 'Director of Structures' title taking a key lead of the structures department
3. 25 annual holidays + bank holidays
4. 35 hours working week, including flexible hours
5. Working towards EOT (Employee Ownership Trust) scheme for the business where the staff own a minimum of 51% of the business and benefit financially from that ownership. You would become a Trustee with other chosen senior staff of the EOT and part of the company management team.
6. Your accountancy and Tax Return support paid by the company using company Accountant
7. IPA support provided - who can coordinate amalgamation of existing pensions with new private and managed pension funds (if appropriate), where the company will pay £1,000 into per month.
8. Basic annual salary of £70,000. This does not include the pension contribution of £12k (net) per year or annual dividend of minimum of £5k (net) as alphabet shareholder.
9. Professional support with training, resources, etc., and general professional freedom to develop the business going forward, in your role as shareholder and company director.
In order to be considered for this Structural Director role, you will:
1. Have gained a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
2. Have 5-10 years of design experience (ideally from Consultancy)
3. Be competent designing in contemporary materials
4. Feel comfortable leading a small design team
5. Have strong communication skills both written and verbal
6. Work well as part of a close-knit design team
7. Be Chartered
8. Have a keen desire to progress and play a significant part in the firm
