Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Systems Designer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be designing parts and assemblies for one or more of our car systems. At Andretti Global, we aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Principal Accountabilities:
* Prepare schemes, layouts and detail drawings of car system parts.
* To take ownership of your parts and ensure they meet requirements.
* Technical liaison with the suppliers and users of your parts.
* To stay current with developments within your area of responsibility.
* Support sustainable manufacture without sacrificing car performance.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
* Knowledge of the principals and physics of race car systems.
* Experience of design of at least one of cooling system, fuel system or hydraulic system ideally in the motorsport industry.
* Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
* Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently, while meeting challenging deadlines.
* Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc)
* Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
