About The Role
We're looking for a Veterinary Director to join our Ipswich Community Vet Clinic to lead, develop, and manage our veterinary care team. This is a rare opportunity to join AWLQ as a leader to deliver the highest quality care to our customers and their pets whilst overseeing the clinical team to create a best-practice workplace.
You will be a valued and experienced Animal Welfare professional who enjoys bringing their knowledge and management expertise together to develop and support their team to achieve amazing outcomes for pets and people.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide clear direction and support to the Veterinary team for day-to-day operational activities.
2. Manage, motivate, and direct the onsite veterinary team.
3. People Management, Leadership, and Human Resources activities for your team with support from HR.
4. Relationship Management with customers.
5. Provide guidance and case support to your team with Animal Care, surgical procedures, and monitoring.
6. Operations Management, administration and compliance.
7. Champion and ensure Workplace Health and Safety.
8. Ensure high standards of animal care by administering routine veterinary medications and treatments.
What are the minimum requirements for this position?
1. Certificate or degree in Veterinary Science.
2. Minimum 9 years experience within a Veterinary Clinic.
3. Authorised Implanter Number (AIN).
4. Radiation Use Licence.
5. Experience managing, training, and developing clinical teams.
6. Exceptional customer service experience.
To be successful in this role, you will have
1. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate others to achieve high productivity and standards of work.
3. Relevant customer service and conflict resolution training.
4. Intermediate level computer skills with experience in data management software and Microsoft Office.
5. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Available to work 5 days a week.
