An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Integrated Respiratory Service.
The successful candidate will work mainly on the Respiratory Assessment Unit at Royal Blackburn Hospital, assisting specialist nurses in delivering quality care for patients requiring respiratory diagnostic procedures and pleural disease management.
Main duties of the job
The department offers comprehensive clinical services for patients with lung conditions such as lung cancer, tuberculosis, and pleural diseases, including non-invasive ventilation at home. The unit provides bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and thoracoscopy procedures. The candidate will contribute to maintaining endoscopes and specialized equipment and provide technical assistance during procedures. We also offer a daily pleural service for inpatients and outpatients.
This role requires flexible daytime shift work across 7 days.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and be flexible in working across different pathways within the Respiratory Service.
