Job summary The role of the Team Leader is to support and deputise for the Operational Performance/RTT Pathways Manager, providing direct line management support for the RTT Validation & Operational Performance Team, working as a key member of the overall Operational Performance team The post holder will provide direct line management to a team of Co-ordinators who are responsible for tracking patient pathways against operational standards to ensure delivery of the national targets. This will also involve attendance management, high quality appraisals, monitoring of mandatory training compliance and supporting with complex validation pathway queries. Main duties of the job The team leader will develop strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the patient tracker list (PTL) is accurate and fit for purpose to ensure the effective monitoring, performance management and governance of these national targets. They will also need to support the senior management team in the analysis of the data and in the creation of internal and external reports for the delivery of the national recovery targets. This information will be communicated to both the Head of Operational Performance and Deputy Head of Operational Performance on a regular basis. The team will be responsible leading the team to providing expert advice on elective pathways, RTT pathway, cancelled ops, A&E, Inpatient and diagnostics validation and bespoke training for operational teams, clinicians and other relevant departments. Trained in the principles of effective waiting list management, including application of national best practice approaches. Trained in the use of NHS systems including PAS, and referral management systems. Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years' experience in an acute NHS provider.
