Job Title: Behaviour Mentor for Year 4 Pupil
Location: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:40 - 15:40
Pay: Starting from £12.90 per hour

- We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and behavioural needs.
- This role is ideal for someone experienced in promoting self-regulation and social-emotional growth in young learners.
- You will work closely with the pupil, implementing strategies that reinforce positive behaviour and help them engage more effectively with the curriculum.
- Develop a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
- Implement behaviour management strategies according to the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to maintain a consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Monitor and document the pupil's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Encourage positive social interactions and facilitate participation in class activities.
- Provide one-to-one support during lessons and unstructured times, such as breaks.
- Support the pupil in developing coping strategies and self-regulation skills.
- Experience working with children, especially those with ADHD or behavioural challenges.
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children.
- Child-only DBS certificate registered on the Update System.
- Ability to provide two professional references covering the last 24 months.

Additional Information:
- This is a temporary role, with potential to become permanent in the future.
- Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
