Working hours: Monday-Friday (35.5 hours per week)

We’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our award-winning and growing business on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. Based primarily at Tong Garden Centre, you’ll also support our other 6 centres, so occasional travel will be required depending on business needs.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving our People & Culture (P&C) agenda forward by:
1. Leading on day-to-day operational P&C activities at site level
2. Coaching and developing managers to build high-performing teams
3. Managing recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new joiners
4. Owning our Employee Engagement and Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives to help create a thriving culture
5. Supporting the P&C team with learning and development activities, including running internal workshops
6. Managing the staff events calendar to help foster a fun and engaging work environment
7. Handling local employee relations matters with professionalism and care
8. Contributing to group-wide projects on reward, talent, succession, and engagement
What We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone who:
1. Has at least 2 years’ experience in an HR/P&C role – (or similar role)
2. Is degree qualified or holds a relevant equivalent qualification (CIPD part or fully qualified desirable)
3. Thrives on building relationships and influencing positive change
4. Has strong analytical skills and can make data-driven decisions
5. Can juggle multiple tasks with ease and stay organised under pressure
6. Communicates with confidence and clarity, whether presenting to a team or advising managers
