Job summary Are you a qualified Physiotherapist with experience or an interest in Pelvic Health? We are seeking a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced clinicians in a teaching environment. Previous experience and training is desirable, however we would consider an enthusiastic physiotherapist new to the speciality, in a Band 5 to 6 development role. If offered a development post, training from band 5 to 6 would take up to 3 years to achieve competencies. This role is outpatient based, and potentially across-sites in both our primary and secondary care settings. In primary care, referrals from GP's, for a variety of pelvic health conditions, provide a diverse and exciting caseload. In our Secondary care setting, you will find the referrals vary greatly, you can expect to be treating both male and female patients. Referrals from GP's, Midwives, Health Visitors, Urology, Gynaecology, Uro-gynaecology, Colorectal and Obstetrics (including both pregnant and postnatal) patients will be seen on a routine basis in this role. Main duties of the job Using specialist and evidence based/ client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in Pelvic Health. To utilise individual and/or manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnosis and or /complex needs, group work skills as appropriate in order to achieve agreed therapeutic goals. To have a specialist knowledge of a range of pelvic health conditions and to use this specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to plan and provide clinical interventions in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. Ensure development of junior staff and undergraduate Physiotherapy students through supervision, training and annual appraisal. Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical practice & service development within area. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust Physiotherapy service. Take a lead for information management to ensure high quality data which is recorded, evaluated & reported in a timely manner.
