At Tayto Group we need the very best to add value to our business and become part of our on-going success, therefore we are looking for an experienced Engineer Shift Team Leader to come and join our team at Corby .
Main Purpose of Role:
* To lead the engineering shift team in conjunction with the Operational Team to deliver all KPI’s, through dynamic leadership, team working and planning to ensure that Corby is a clean, lean and safe site to work in.
Principal Accountabilities:
* To work directly with the Shift Production Area Managers to agree work priorities, ensuring that the engineering team are aligned to those priorities.
* Responsibility for the shift based maintenance engineers.
* Accurate completion of shift Report & effective handover.
* Provide technical assistance, training and guidance to the maintenance engineers and apprentices. Develop a capable, multi-skilled and effective engineering shift team.
* Effectively manage and when needed prioritise the workload for each production area, working closely with the Shift Production Managers.
* To maintain and ensure shift adherence to Tayto Group engineering standards and compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements, site rules & procedures and Food Safety.
* To actively participate in shift continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that all opportunities are thoroughly assessed and solutions costed accordingly.
* Accountable for the supervision of engineering contractors when they are operating on Shift that the team leader is responsible for, ensuring that all site rules are adhered to, manage the permit to work system to ensure accurate control of contractors whilst onsite.
* Support the Maintenance Manager to ensure that PPM activities are completed as per scheduled work plans, and all relevant documentation is completed and recorded on the sites Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Actively promote uptime for efficient plant and site equipment by leading teams to a root cause analysis and problem reoccurrence prevention utilising A3 Root Cause Analysis methodology.
* Coach and mentor engineers concerning safe working habits and rigorous trouble shooting practices.
* Foster a harmonious relationship between departments.
* To ensure that there is an up to date and active skills matrix for the team members on shift, including the post holder.
