The Role: Due to companies’ growth and our value of being a decentralised business we have recognised the need for Health & Safety Business Partners for our Business Units to support the business in achieving Health and Safety excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Provide expert Health & Safety advice and coaching to our leadership and delivery teams Identifying, analysing and prioritising H&S risks to the business including the development and management of mitigation plans Support risk-based Health and Safety operational assurance within projects Able to translate MSFIT out H&S strategy and objectives into regional operational plans Collaborates with Operational/Construction Directors to deliver cost effective and efficient performance Set and measure key performance indicators to drive Health & Safety excellence for the Business Unit Deliver presentations to staff and contractors when required. Lead and support the development of initiatives and best practices in HSW management Develop a positive H&S culture throughout the project management team and supply chain Support the project teams in incident investigation and when necessary, lead on investigations and ensure lessons learned are developed, communicated and embedded Drive change through communication, persuasion, engagement and innovation Support bid teams in tender preparation and subsequent interviews when required Evaluate Health and Safety requirements for potential new supply chain About you: We are looking for a confident, engaging person who is a team player. Someone with experience of effectively motivating personnel to advance their levels of performance, productivity and professionalism, successfully supporting highly dynamic and focused teams. Strong communicator who can passionately articulate their vision to all stakeholders from clients to operatives onsite Exceptional written and oral communication skills including dynamic presentations and writing of reports, documents, results of inspections and investigations, and for follow ups along with maintaining records. Comprehensive understanding of CDM, including the Client, PD and PC roles including their application. Along with a keen interest in Health & Safety by design (Bracknell role) Skilled at coaching and mentoring employees Awareness of industry wide health & Safety best practice Technical ability: Formal Health & Safety qualification Working towards or achievement of chartered member of IOSH and demonstrable evidence of CPD relative to current industry best practice.
