St Bernadette’s is a school built on strong Catholic ethos and values. We ensure that we offer an ambitious and rounded curriculum to all of our children. Due to the recent restructure of the senior leadership team, and the appointment of the Headteacher, the governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher for September 2025. We are looking for a committed and practising Catholic with a strong personal faith and a clear vision of the distinctive nature of Catholic education who will collaborate with the Headteacher whilst providing challenge.
We are looking for a candidate who:
• Is able to sustain and develop the Catholic ethos of the school recognising God in all that we do
• Is able to deputise for the Headteacher
• Is able to evidence how they will achieve the best possible outcomes for our children with a proven track record
• Will be a model of high quality, inclusive teaching throughout the school with experience of developing teaching and learning within a school
• Is highly motivated and able to motivate others
• Demonstrates creative leadership of curriculum innovation and development
• Has high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour
• Is knowledgeable and up to date with current educational practice
• Is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and has a calm, positive, welcoming manner
