Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior nursing team on Gervis Pearson Ward as a full time Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. The ward is an 18 bed male oncology ward. Main duties of the job The candidate must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment whilst coordinating staff and patients. The candidate will be involved in the structured management of the ward and will be expected to take a team of staff nurses and complete all necessary training required by the Trust. It will be the candidates role to maintain Trust Values and Behaviours at all times. A large proportion of patients who are admitted to Gervis Pearson Ward, are due to the side effects of their Cancer treatments, this in turn will afford you the opportunity to develop your acute care skills in a range of clinical specialties. We are looking for an individual who has extensive oncology experience desirably within a management role, is hard working, confident and possess good negotiation skills, enjoys a challenge and working as part of a team.
