This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties and the post holder will assist Speech and Language Therapists in delivering a service within a range of settings including early years and mainstream schools. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be working with children who have speech and language needs as well as liaising with a range of education staff and parents.
Main duties of the job
Your role would include:
Supporting the work of Speech and Language Therapists by providing regular and ongoing therapy to children, with support and supervision.
Working alongside therapists in the delivery of parent/carer workshops
Developing, preparing and maintaining therapy resources
Provide some administrative support to therapists for their clinical work and for related activities such as prepare materials/resources and clinical spaces

6. Educated to GCSE level or above with good written and spoken English as well as good basic numeracy

7. Attendance at training courses relevant to post First aid, Singalong/ Makaton course, BTEC or equivalent in Child Development

8. oExperience of working in a healthcare or childcare environment which brings relevant transferable skills.
