Job summary
The post holder will support the Procurement Services Team in providing an effective and professional procurement service that delivers ongoing cost efficiencies/benefits to the Trust in line with departmental objectives.
Support the delivery of the transactional procurement and low value sourcing service, handling electronic requisitions and ensuring best value is achieved.
Support the procurement team to develop and maintain an efficient procurement service to stakeholders, ensuring policies and operational practices comply with the Trust SFI's, EU legislation, and other statutory requirements, providing effective procurement of all categories of services and commodities. Develop an excellent working relationship with all clinical and corporate stakeholders and ensure that the service provided to internal customers is of a high standard.
The role is primarily based at Maidstone Hospital; however, you will be required to work across sites or change base as the service requires.
Main duties of the job
The role will mainly involve monitoring our Procurement mailbox and answering phone calls, assisting and helping our end users with all types of queries.
Using our Procurement Purchasing system - Integra, to look up requisitions and Purchase orders.
Support other members of the team.
