Mechanical Technician - Aerospace, Defence and Aviation - Bedfordshire Area
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician for a company that specialises in cutting-edge aerodynamic research for global aerospace and defence clients.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our Engineering Services Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of our facility, including the installation and modification of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs/testing of equipment and mechanical services.
* Address equipment breakdowns, perform fault-finding, and carry out repairs.
* Install new plant and equipment as per supervisory instructions, and contribute ideas for design and implementation improvements.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures, including the preparation and adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
* Comply with site security procedures and serve as a member of the Emergency Response team.
What We Need From You:
1. Mechanical Apprenticeship and/or significant experience in installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting industrial plant equipment and systems.
