Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic team of People (HR) professionals based at Seaton Delaval in a People (HR) Advisor role. We are seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to work within our fast-paced Operational People (HR) Team.
This role is pivotal in supporting the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service that is focused on supporting staff across the organisation to achieve outcomes in line with the vision and values of the Trust.
The post will be based at Seaton Delaval, Whitley Bay, however the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Ability to meet these travel requirements is therefore essential. Blended/flexible working is supported by the Trust.

You will be the first point of contact providing advice and support to line managers and employees across a range of employee relations matters, including:
* Management of attendance;
* Terms and conditions of employment;
* Conduct and capability;
* Grievance;

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful candidate will have an ability to communicate, negotiate and influence a range of managers and staff, have experience of analysing situations in order to advise on an appropriate course of action and an ability to organise their own workload to meet service needs and competing deadlines.
Applicants for the People (HR) Advisor position must have:
* Degree in Human Resources or HR Knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience working in an HR environment to degree equivalent level.
* Experience working within an HR environment and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters.
* A sound working knowledge of a range of policies and management procedures.
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role.

Qualifications

* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* European Computer Driving Licence.
Experience & knowledge
* Experience working within an HR environment and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters.
* Proficient in word processing and in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
* Knowledge/experience of working within an NHS environment.
