As an IT Apprentice, you will work closely with the ICT team to support teaching, learning, and administration through effective IT services. This hands-on role will provide you with training and experience in troubleshooting, network maintenance, and supporting classroom technology. In this role, you will work towards your IT Support Level 3 Apprenticeship delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Technical Support: IT queries and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Provide first-line support for equipment, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and interactive whiteboards. Help set up IT equipment for lessons, assemblies, and events. Network and System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the schools network, including servers, switches, and wireless systems. Support the installation and configuration of software and hardware. Conduct regular system updates, backups, and security checks. Classroom Technology: Maintain and support classroom technology such as projectors, smartboards, and AV equipment. Assist with educational platforms like Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom. Administrative Support: Manage inventory of ICT equipment, including logging and tracking hardware and software licenses. Document processes and create user guides for staff and students. Training and Development: Participate in structured training to enhance your skills and knowledge. Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to the education sector. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic Team Salary, Hours & Benefits: Salary: £12,480 per annum Working Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm) Holiday Entitlement: 22 days plus bank holidays (holidays to be taken outside of term time) Paid apprenticeship with career progression opportunities. in a dynamic educational setting. Required to have a Grade 5/C in English and Grade 4/C in Maths Your Training with Baltic: You will be enrolled in a Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, providing you with formal qualifications and practical skills. You'll also have access to one-to-one mentoring sessions with senior team members and on-the-job training that aligns with your career goals. Beyond the fundamental apprenticeship modules, you'll delve into two Be-Spoke modules and one advanced Expert module. This personalised approach will hone your abilities and deepen your expertise, positioning you as a true leader in your field. The Be-Spoke and Expert modules you will complete are: SC - 900 Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals: Provides learners with the fundamentals of security, compliance, and identity (SCI) across cloud-based and related Microsoft services. Learners should be familiar with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and looking to understand how Microsoft SCI solutions can span across these solution areas to provide a holistic and end-to-end solution. Problem Solving & Innovation: This course covers problem-solving techniques, defining issues, implementing solutions, and creating an innovative culture. Customer Service Fundamentals: This course covers customer service essentials: understanding customers, product knowledge, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and self-improvement.
