Overview and Purpose of Role
Working with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures and equipment to maximise safety, quality and delivery, and to minimise cost of manufacture.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate and implement the most efficient and cost effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
2. Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish / implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
3. Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise efficiency.
4. Management of BOMs and material movement through Plan For Every Part.
5. Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles.
6. Provide production support to production departments.
7. New product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, establishing processes, production launch.

* 3rd level qualification HND in engineering or equivalent (E)
* Previous experience as a manufacturing Engineer or a similar profession (E)
* Good communication skills (E)
* Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding role and use initiative (E)
* Experience with PULSE software (D)
* Experience with CAD Software such as Solidworks, PLM, Lantek (D)
* CAD/CAM + CNC Programming Experience (D)
* Ability to use metrics in order to analyse results (E)
* Strong passion for innovation and results driven (E)
* Strong planning, prioritizing and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail (E)
* Available to work flexible hours when required with notice. (E)
